Atlanta Hawk Kent Bazemore hosts 2nd annual basketball camp

BERTIE COUNTY, NC (WNCT) – The first year Kent Bazemore hosted his summer basketball camp, forty kids wandered into Bertie High School.

This year, after a terrific 2015 NBA campaign for Bazemore, more than one hundred kids showed up ready, and willing to learn.

The camp is a non-for-profit event put on by Bazemore’s Arms Foundation. Bazemore went to high school at Bertie High School before playing college basketball at Old Dominion.

In 2012, Bazemore entered the NBA with the Golden State Warriors, but it wasn’t until last year that the 26-year-old really made a splash in the pros.

This past year, Bazemore helped guide the Atlanta Hawks to the Eastern Conference Finals. Bazemore is entering into his final year of a two-year, four-million dollar contract with the Hawks.
