AURORA, N.C. (WNCT) – Aurora Fire and Rescue’s EMS service has been upgraded to the paramedic level.
Beaufort County Commissioners gave approval for the change back in May. The status upgrade went into effect on Monday following a state inspection.
Captain Samuel Williams says the upgrade will allow his crew members the ability to use powerful drugs in emergency situations.
The change comes at no additional cost to taxpayers.
