BELHAVEN, N.C. (WNCT) — A Belhaven man whose body was found on Christmas Eve was shot 13 times, according to a newly released autopsy.
Timothy Moore’s body was discovered on Christmas Eve in Beaufort County.
Jayquwan Lamar Newmones, 23, has been charged with Moore’s murder.
His next court date is scheduled for August 30.
A man wanted on a murder charge in connection to the death of a Belhaven man was captured in Augusta, Georgia,Thursday night.
Jayquwan Lamar Newmones, 23, was arrested by the FBI with assistance from authorities in Georgia.
He was found hiding in a bedroom and had significantly altered his appearance, disguising himself as a 9th grade high school student, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jayquwan Newmones was wanted in connection to the shooting death of Timothy Moore. Moore’s body was discovered on Christmas Eve.
Two additional people were arrested in Georgia Sunday in connection to the case.
Khalif Newmones, 25, of Belhaven and Alicia Polen, 27, of Augusta both face charges of accessory after fact to murder and are awaiting extradition to Beaufort County.
All three are being held at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center in Richmond County, Georgia.
Shortly after 3 p.m. on December 24 the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call saying a driver found a body on a dirt road off of Beech Ridge Road.
After further investigation, authorities determined the identity of the body as Timothy Moore.
Preliminary findings show Moore was shot.
Deputies processed the scene for over seven hours, and investigators recovered over thirty pieces of physical evidence believed to be associated with the crime.
They also spoke with Moore’s friends, family and anyone who may have been in contact with him in the hours before his death.
