GREENVILLE, N.C. – A stadium full of energy, as football players, cheerleaders, and the band of Ayden-Grifton High School participated in this morning’s Backyard Brawl pep-rally.
“We have to get the crowd hype and it helps the boys and just get excited and come out with a win,” said cheerleader Linsey Mozingo.
Dozens came out in the early hours of the morning, showing their support for the team’s big game against North Pitt.
Head Football Coach, Paul Cornwell, was thrilled to see all of the support for the team.
“I thought it was a lot of fun for the kids to get out here and show the support for each other,” said Coach Cornwell. “We’re not a very big school but we’re a nice, tight-knit community.”
The fans kept the crowd hype during the two hour pep rally. From cheer leading stunts to the band performances; this morning’s pep rally got the team excited for tonight’s game.
Ayden-Grifton will be hosting North Pitt tonight at 7pm for this week’s Backyard Brawl.
