Beaufort Co. Crime Stoppers investigating multiple break-ins


WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) – Multiple break-ins have occurred in Chocowinity and Aurora counties and the Beaufort County Crime Stoppers need your help.

Here are the most recent cases:

  • 4000 Block of NC33 Hwy E – A camouflage backpack with 100 rounds of .22 ammo and some money was taken from the residence.

  • 4000 Block of NC33 Hwy E – 32-inch Samsung television was stolen from the residence. A few days before, a light-skinned black male was seen knocking on both doors to the residence and turning the door knobs to attempt to gain entry. This individual was operating a black Ford Escape.

  • Area of Rowe Rd – Metal wagon wheel was stolen from inside a barn. A black, two door passenger car (possibly a 2006 or newer Mitsubishi with a hard top) with VA registration plates was seen parked in the roadway near the barn. There was a white male with blonde, shoulder length hair driving and a white male with black, shoulder length hair standing at the rear of the vehicle with the trunk open. The second male was attempting to load an antique plow, but ended up leaving it behind and driving off after being spotted.
