WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT)- The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office, has made an arrest in connection with multiple breaking and entering and larceny cases.

On Thursday, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received two reports of breaking and entering and larceny cases. One happened at Eddie’s Service Station on NC Hwy 32 N in Pinetown and the other happened at the Veri Kwik Convenient Store on NC Hwy 33 E in Edward.

In both cases, cigarettes were stolen. At the Veri Kwik Convenient Store, beer, assorted candy and money was taken.

Video surveillance from both stores showed the same suspect wearing the same clothes and driving the same car. In the Veri Kwik break-in, the suspect could be seen on video surveillance using his car to push open the store’s front door.

Beaufort County deputies worked with the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office, who had a similar reported crime. Together, a suspect was identified in all three cases.

On Friday, 35-year-old Andy Filmore Kirk of Belhaven was arrested at his home. He was taken before a judge and held on $25,000 bond. He was also served a warrant from Pamlico County, where he received a $10,000 bond.
