GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Belhaven mayor Adam O’Neal says he’s on track to arrive in Raleigh on Wednesday.

Last week, O’Neal began his third awareness walk over the closure of Vidant Pungo. This one is to get the governor to waive a certificate needed to open up a medical facility.

O’Neal tells WNCT he’s secured a meeting with Governor McCrory and Speaker of the House Tim Moore.

But there’s no firm date yet.
