MOREHEAD CITY (WNCT) – Ashley Lauren, a boat out of Clayton, North Carolina, is now the leader at the Big Rock Tournament with a 621.4 lb marlin after day two.
Piracy, a Morehead City, North Carolina boat, caught a marlin that weighed in at 558.8 lbs. That took the third place spot after day two.
The Fowl Hooked, out of Camden, South Carolina, was pushed back to fourth place with a 525.8 lb marlin. Meanwhile, the Monday catch off of the Marlin Gull boat of 564.8 lbs is in second place.
Total prize money for the Big Rock this year is 1.91 million dollars.
172 of the field’s 174 boats ventured out on this second day of the competition.
