DURANGO, Colo. (KRQE) – The body of the pilot killed while flying the Blue Angels jet last week will be brought back home to Durango. That’s according to the Durango Herald. Durango native Jeff Kuss was killed Thursday afternoon when his FA18 Hornet crashed near Nashville, Tennessee.
He and the Blue Angels had been practicing for an air show when it happened.
Kuss’ body is expected to return to Durango aboard the Blue Angel’s C-130. He will be buried at the Greenmount Cemetery. The date and time of his memorial has not been set.
