Car chase after robbery ends in crash near J.H. Rose High

An armed robbery investigation led Greenville police on a car chase that ended in a crash on Arlington Boulevard and Wandsworth Drive Tuesday morning.

The car chase stemmed from a robbery at the Charleston Village Subdivisions on the 2700 block of Camille Drive, according to the Greenville Police Department. 

Police said two suspects were banging on the rear door of the residence and forced entry by kicking the back door in.

The victim was forced out of the room by the suspects, police said.

According to an investigation, one suspect fired two rounds into the air.

Police said the suspects stole jewelry and cash.

The suspects fled the scene from the back door of the residence.

The victim called the police and described the suspects’ vehicle.

Police said they found the vehicle on Memorial Drive.

As they approached, the vehicle moved towards Westhaven Road and Memorial.

Police initiated a vehicle chase.

The suspects jumped and ran from the vehicle and were arrested, police said.

Crew members are working to clear the scene.

The case is under investigation.
