CoCoRaHS is a non-profit community-based network of volunteers that measure and map precipitation.
This month National Weather Service offices across the country are having a March Madness competition to see how many volunteers they can recruit in their state.
By being a volunteer you will each day report values of precipitation to their website.
Participating in this network you will make an important contribution by giving data to meteorologists, hydrologists, emergency managers, ranchers, farmer and many more.
This is a great teaching tool for Science teachers across North Carolina.
