Community Eligibility Program to continue in select Pamlico County schools

BAYBORO, N.C. (WNCT)- The Pamlico County School District will again participate in the lunch meal service option called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

During the 2016-2017 school year, all Pre-K through 8th grade students enrolled at Pamlico County Primary School, Fred A. Anderson Elementary School and Pamlico County Middle School are eligible to participate. Because school breakfast meals are provided free of charge through the National School Breakfast Program, children attending CEP schools can count on two nutritious meals every school day.

Pamlico County High School (PCHS) students are not eligible to participate in the CEP program. However, breakfast at this school will be served at no cost to students. Paid lunch meals are $2.55 this year and parents/guardians are encouraged to complete a 2016-2017 School Meals Household Application for assistance with the cost of lunch.

The School Meals Household Application is located on the Pamlico County Schools district website at or may be picked up from the PCHS front office.
