The Pitt County Democratic Party will host a public forum on April 15th featuring Democratic candidates in the District 3 Congressional race.
The public forum, to be moderated by WNCT’s Courtney Allen, will be held on Monday, April 15th at 6:30 p.m., in the Walter and Marie Williams Science Building at Pitt Community College, located at 2105 Warren Drive in Winterville.
Candidates vying to fill the seat of former U.S. Congressman Walter B. Jones, who died in February, include 17 Republicans, 6 Democrats, 2 Libertarians, and 1 Constitution Party candidate.
The Democratic candidates who have confirmed they will attend the April 15th forum in Pitt County are:
Allen Thomas of Pitt County – Former Mayor of Greenville.
Ernest Reeves of Pitt County – Retired Army Captain
Dana Outlaw of Craven County – Current Mayor of New Bern
Richard Bew of Carteret County – Retired Marine Colonel.
Ike Johnson of Onslow County – Retired Marine Major.
Candidate Gregory Humphrey of Duplin County has not yet confirmed if he will attend the forum, but a seat will be saved for him in case he does attend.
