GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Carolina Kick-Off is just one day away and Dowdy-Ficklen is just about ready.
The production crew was hard at work Friday finalizing the technical and audio levels.
Thursday, they finished laying out the 90,000 sq. ft. of flooring to protect the field.
The rain or shine event has already sold over 20,000 tickets.
Representatives from Basis Entertainment said they are expecting to sell even more tickets tomorrow.
ECU students are excited about the pre-season celebration.
“Football is coming up and so is the concert,” ECU student Michael Johnson said. “I think it’s a great event they should have it every year. I mean it’s just really getting me pumped up for class and even football and it’s gonna be a great time.”
Johnson added, “Go Pirates and Go Eric Church.”
The first act goes on Saturday at 3:45pm. Eric Church hits the stage at 9:30pm.
The box office will stay open until then for late concert-goers.
