Three suspects accused of beating a local business owner and robbing his restaurant will make their first court appearances on Friday.
The teens were arrested after the Tuesday night armed robbery in Pamlico County at the Little Italy Pizza in Alliance. Deputies say the robbery happened around 9:30p.m.
Deputies say the restaurant owner and his wife reported two people assaulted them in the parking after they closed their store on 12200 block of NC Highway 55. Investigators say the owner received minor injuries after being hit on the head several times by the robbers.
The Sheriff’s Office says the victims reported that one of the two suspects did have a gun.
As a result of the investigation three 17-year-olds were arrested on Wednesday.
Deputies identify the three suspects as Seth Edmonson, Montrell Curtis, and Jayla Christian.
Edmonson and Curtis face two felony counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Christian faces one count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Edmonson is being held in the Pamlico County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond.
Curtis and Christian are being held in the Pamlico County Detention Center under a $25,000 bond.
Deputies say more charges could be pending.
