Democratic National Committee’s emails hacked and released

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Just days before the Democratic National Convention begins, the party’s national committee is dealing with hackers obtaining, and publishing, thousands of their emails.

The website Wikileaks published more than 27,000 emails and attachments from the Democratic National Committee (DNC). That includes thousands of emails from the party’s communication director, and more than 3,700 from the party’s finance director.

Some of the emails released detail how to discredit Vermont Sen., and former presidential rival of Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sander’s credibility.

Wikileaks warns this is just the first part of a new series of leaks aimed at Hillary Clinton.
