ENFIELD, N.C. (WNCT) – The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office makes an arrest in the murder of an Enfield man.

Deputies say 20-year-old Jarshamel Cambridge died after being shot on June 22^nd. Investigators say the shooting happened near Freedom and Franklin Streets in Enfield.

Cambridge was taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville where he died from his injuries.

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said deputies obtained an arrest warrant for 22- year-old Dexter Taylor on Friday.
