ROSE HILL, N.C. (WNCT) – Wine lovers rejoice! Thursday, February 18 is National Drink Wine Day!
According to the NC Wine Organization, which is part of the NC Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services, there are more than 100 wineries across North Carolina.
The East is known for production at several wineries and vineyards.
Some of those locations include Duplin Winery in Rose Hill, Bennett Vineyards in Edward, Huffman Vineyards in Richlands, and several others.
Most wineries across the East specialize in native muscadine grapes, which thrive along the coast.
