GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – No rest for the weary. After a long baseball season, the ECU Pirates went back to work.
The Pirates turned the weight-room inside the Murphy Center into a second home for the 2015 summer.
East Carolina went 40-22 in the 2015 season on the diamond, capped off by a conference title.
Their exhaustion showed, however, as the Pirates were outscored 8-3 and failed to win a game in the NCAA Regionals.
To combat that fatigue, East Carolina turned to strengthening its stamina.
After a week of rest, the majority of the ECU squad stayed in Greenville for the summer, taking commands from Strength & Conditioning coach Blaine Kinsley.
WNCT’s Patrick Quinn profiles the Pirates’ heavy workload in the weightroom.
