ECU named stop on Brad Paisley’s Country Nation College Tour

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Country music superstar Brad Paisley is headed to East Carolina University.

ECUAthletics made the announcement on Facebook Monday morning. See it here.

They and multi-media partner, IMG, are bringing Paisley’s show to the university as free entertainment for the Pirates’ campus community.

“The Country Nation College Tour presented by Frontier Communications” is scheduled for an on-campus show on Thursday, October 6 in front of the Murphy Center between parking lots 7 and 8 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. Country artist Brett Young has been tapped to serve as the opening act. The university said that additional event details will be announced later.

“ECU is extremely fortunate to host Brad Paisley’s Country Nation College Tour,” Director of Athletics Jeff Compher said. “I am especially excited because our students and the Greenville community can enjoy his performance for free. None of this would be possible without our outstanding partnership with IMG.”

IMG, which serves more than 200 universities nationwide, is a division of WME | IMG, which also represents Paisley and brokered the college tour deal, the university said.

“We are very excited to affiliate Frontier’s brand in North Carolina with Brad Paisley’s Country Nation Tour,” Frontier’s area general manager for operations in North Carolina Bill Wright said. “We provide leading edge, fiber-fueled broadband services so it makes sense for us to present one of the leaders in country music and entertainment for college students and our customers.”

Frontier offers a variety of services to residential customers over its fiber-optic and copper networks, including FiOS from Frontier and Vantage TV by Frontier.

Stetson Cologne, the official fragrance of the tour, will be on-site at each of the shows sampling Stetson Original for Men.
