ECU Police holding active shooter training through May 14


GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Beginning Wednesday, the East Carolina University Police began active shooter training through May 14 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in Mendenhall Student Center on ECU’s main campus.

It’s part of ECU’s emergency planning procedures, which is designed to prepare law enforcement personnel to respond to an active shooter on campus.

Per the ECU Police, actors and simulated weapons were brought in to aid the exercise.
