GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – The recent terror attacks in Belgium have many people in the East concerned about traveling to other parts of the world.

At least ten people died in the bombings, which ripped through the Brussels airport. Another 20 were killed at a subway station bombing.

Students on ECU’s campus express concern about traveling in the country and surrounding areas.

“I definitely say it makes me feel kind of like uncertain about other people who are there,” said Ali Fathullahzabeh, ECU sophomore. “And don’t really know much about it or who are already there and have to deal about coming back.”

Many say terror attacks happen too frequently.

“It’s kinda scary that those things can happen to the United States too, and it’s just that terrorism in general around the world has become really prevalent,” said Samantha Cucuel, ECU freshman.

Currently, there are no ECU students studying abroad in Belgium. However, many are in surrounding countries throughout Europe.
