GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Students at Elmhurst Elementary School got a glimpse of the future Friday.
It’s all part of Elmhurst’s annual career fair.
Third through fifth graders got to learn from local businesses about careers like nursing, fitness, military, law enforcement, finance, and mental health.
Our own Jessica Jewell was there to tell kids about what it’s like to work in news. Some kids even tried out reporting for themselves.
Third grader Owen Hardee may have a career in TV himself.
“We get to do fun stuff and see what different jobs we can have when we grow up… When I grow up, I want to be a meteorologist,” Hardee said.
Almost 300 students participated in the career fair.
