Ernul man arrested for vehicle break-ins along New Bern’s Antioch Road


NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – An Ernul man is behind bars accused of a series of vehicle break-ins along Antioch Road.

21-year-old Jackie David Anderson was charged with 3 counts of felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, 2 counts felony larceny of a firearm, felony larceny, and misdemeanor larceny. He was already in jail on unrelated charges.

Residents that reported the vehicle break-ins in the Lakes of Antioch Subdivision and on Wildwood Point Drive said electronics, fire department turn-out gear, and firearms were stolen from their vehicles. Investigators were able to recover most of the property.

There may be additional victims of the break-ins that haven’t yet reported them. The Sheriff’s Office is asking citizens to report if their vehicle was broken into between April 22, 2016 and April 25, 2016 along Antioch Road.
