A Camp Lejeune Marine died after a motorcycle accident Saturday evening on Old Folkstone Road in Sneads Ferry.
Captain Joshua Smith confirmed 19-year-old Lance Corporal Trevor Richardet died as a result of the accident around 6 p.m.
According to NC Highway Patrol, Richardet was traveling at a high rate of speed and hit a pick-up truck pulling out of a private driveway.
WNCT is told that Richardet died at the scene.
The driver of the truck has no injuries.
Details on Richardet’s service are limited but we have learned he worked in the 22nd Marine Expedition Unit.
