Four people charged in home invasion and assault in Martin County

Martin Co. Home Invasion Arrests

Four people were arrested and charged after deputies say they assaulted a homeowner with a pipe during a home invasion in Martin County.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says at 10:40 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a reported home invasion at 27018 NC Hwy 903 in Robersonville.

At the scene, as deputies were interviewing the victims, the home invasion suspects drove past the victim’s house.

Deputies immediately pursued and stopped the suspects, and arrested them.

Here are the names and charges of each suspect:

37-year-old Lavon Evette Lane, of 103 Pepper Lane, Scotland Neck

Charges: First Degree Burglary, Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Bond: $25,000

25-year-old Daquante Jaquan Wiggins, of 209 West Salisbury Street, Hamilton

Charges: First Degree Burglary, Assault With a Deadly Weapon

Bond: $25,000

22-year-old Javeon Jarez Wiggins, of 209 Salisbury Street, Hamilton

Charges: First Degree Burglary, Simple Assault

Bond: $25,000

25-year-old Shakeem NMN Williams, of East 10th Street, Scotland Neck

Charges: First Degree Burglary, Assault on Female

Bond: $25,000
