Four teens arrested, fifth teen wanted on charges in assault in Goldsboro

Goldsboro Police have arrested four teens and a fifth teen is wanted after an assault hospitalized another teen in early March.

Investigators say at 8:45 p.m. on March 19, on Day Circle in Goldsboro, five teens violently assaulted 17-year-old Lorenzo Mathis and took his property.

Police say the suspects allegedly threatened Mathis with a gun, beat him with a metal pipe, punched him and kicked him.

Mathis was hospitalized at Wayne-UNC Health for treatment of a broken nose and lacerations to his head and face and was later released.

Four suspects two 15-year-old boys and two 14-year-old boys have been arrested and charged with Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon and Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.

A fifth person 17-year-old Xzavier Jaknowledge Mickens, of Goldsboro, is wanted on the same charges.
