A local business and a drug addiction recovery group will co-host a free Jeep and truck show fundraiser event in May in Greenville.

The “Cody Jam 4 Wheelin 4 Recovery” Jeep and Truck Show will be held on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church, located at 3111 Golden Road.

The show, sponsored by S1 Off-Road and RU Recovery Greenville Chapter, will feature custom Jeeps, pickups and other trucks, food and drinks, games, music, an awards ceremony for the best vehicles, and a time of reflection and remembrance of Cody, who show organizers say recently died from a drug overdose.

Organizers say all proceeds made from food and drink sales and donations at this event will benefit RU Recovery’s Full Throttle Teen Program, which aims to give teenagers something fun to do each Friday night, and give them tools to avoid becoming addicted to drugs or getting into trouble.

RU Recovery is a free, faith-based addiction recovery program that meets every Friday night at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Greenville. For more information on RU Recovery, visit, or call coordinator Darrell Ange at 252-495-1575.
