Georgia church drops off supplies for Hurricane Florence victims

Support for Hurricane Florence victims are pouring in from surrounding states.

Baxley Free-Will Baptist Church started compiling supplies for survivors last month.

The church’s disaster relief ministry works with other churches and volunteers to give to survivors from natural disasters.

Canned food, clothing and paper products were dropped off at the disaster recovery center in Jones County.

Winston Everett made the drive from Georgia to North Carolina.

“We’ve been to several places in the last few years, carrying food and paper products that need them,” said Everett. “It’s our intentions to help anybody that’s in need that’s what we’re here for,” said Everett.

Everett says the church plans to gather more supplies and make another donation to counties in the east.
