Goldsboro man busted on drug, firearm charges

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT)- The Wayne County Drug Unit has busted a Goldsboro man on drug and firearm charges.

On June 15, officers with the Drug Unit were continuing an investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics in the Goldsboro/Wayne County area.

During the investigation, officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the home of 54-year-old George Eugene Brunson.

During a search of the home, officers located a stolen firearm in a drawer in the kitchen. They also found digital scales and other paraphernalia.

Brunson was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was booked at the Wayne County Detention Center under $10,000 bond.
