GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – Police have arrested a Goldsboro man and woman in a case of attempted murder.

Officers arrested 20-year-old Travonte Na’quan Coley and charged him with (1) count of Attempted Murder, (1) count of Firing into an Occupied Vehicle, and (1) count of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He’s in the Wayne County Jail under a $260,000 secured bond. They also arrested 25-year-old Nana Janay Reinhardt, charging her with 1 count of Felony Accessory After the Fact to Attempted First Degree Murder. She was also placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond.

Their arrests follow a shots fired call at the Light House Food Mart on Tuesday, in which 23-year-old Jacob Smith suffered a gunshot wound. He was transported by EMS to Wayne Memorial Hospital with a non-life threatening injury. He was later transferred from Wayne Memorial Hospital to Vidant Medical Center for further treatment.

There’s no word on what prompted the shooting.
