GPD still investigating hit-and-run; victim still recovering at Vidant Medical Center

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – Greenville Police are still investigating a hit-and-run that happened at approximately 2:49 a.m. on April 23.

23-year-old Timothy Martensen, of Virginia, was walking with a friend when he was struck by a vehicle. It hit Martensen and continued going East on 1st Street. Martensen remains in critical condition at Vidant Medical Center.

Police believe the vehicle is a silver, or light-colored sedan, similar to a Toyota Camry or Corolla. Damage will appear on the right front bumper, the hood of the vehicle and possibly the windshield.

Two other males in the area came up to the scene and called 911, then waited for EMS to arrive. They left the scene before being questioned by officers.
