GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – With Greenville facing an East Carolina home football game, homecoming and Halloween all in the same weekend, police are stepping up safety measures.
Greenville and ECU police are working together to ensure safety during the busy weekend, and they expect Saturday to be their busiest day.
New this year, there will be food vendors catered to the student population available in Uptown during homecoming.
Parking will be available in the Five Points Plaza parking lot.
ECU police Lt. Chris Sutton urged people to put personal safety first.
“The key is going to be for each individual to maintain some very good awareness and to be able to contain their judgment,” Sutton said. “The way that they’ll be able to do that is by controlling what they put in their bodies.”
