Greenville man charged with heroin, cocaine trafficking in Dare County, authorities say

A Greenville man was arrested Saturday after transporting heroin and cocaine into Dare County, authorities said.

Kareem A. Spencer, 39, of Greenville, was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin and possession of firearm by felon.

Spencer had pending warrants from the Hyde County for trafficking in heroin and discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling or vehicle.

Dare County Narcotics Task Force along with the Dare County Regional Emergency Response Team conducted a search in a residence located on Mashoes Road in Manns Harbor.

Authorities said they found an amount of heroin, cocaine and money.

Spencer was given a $600,000 bond.

The Dare County Narcotics Task Force and the Dare County Regional Emergency Response Team is made up of the Dare County Sheriff’s Office, the Nags Head Police Department and the Kitty Hawk Police Department.
