The Greenville Police Department is looking for two women they say shortchanged a cashier at the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Memorial Drive.

Police said they purchased a small item that cost less than $2 at the store.

After the transaction, one of the women requested $50 bills in exchange for a large stack of $100 dollar bills, and the cashier agreed to exchange some of the money.

However, when the cashier handed the money to the women, they sorted through the change, said they no longer wanted the $50 bills, and instead wanted their $100 bills back.

Police said it was later discovered the women made off with more than $100 dollars in extra cash.

In a Facebook post, the Greenville Police Department said you may be eligible for a reward if you can identify the suspects.

You can call Detective Peterson (252) 329-3404 or Crime Stoppers (252) 758-7777 with information.
