Greenville police release video of bank robbery suspect

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The First Citizens Bank on S. Memorial Drive was robbed by a man with a knife Monday morning, the Greenville Police Department said.

Officers said at about 9:15 a.m. an individual entered the bank, displayed a knife and passed a note to a teller with demands to hand over money.

Greenville police said the suspect was able to get away in what they believe to be an older model maroon GMC Jimmy or Chevrolet Blazer with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers said the suspect was caught on surveillance cameras at another Winterville business.

No one was injured during the robbery, officers said.
