GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Buffalo Wild Wings in Greenville put up new hours, closing hours earlier than previously posted.
The restaurant will now close at 10 p.m. every night, except for Tuesday when it will close at 9 p.m.
The change came a week after Greenville Police said one of its off-duty officers shot and killed a man in self-defense.
It’s not the first incident of violence at the restaurant.
9 On Your Side obtained exclusive video showing a fight break out back in April 2014.
Back then, detectives told 9 On Your Side the fight led to three people getting shot at an apartment complex on Glendale Drive.
Despite the violence, community activist Jermaine McNair said the restaurant is popular with the local urban minority community.
“As far back as I can remember, [Buffalo Wild Wings] was always one of those establishments where you could go and find all kinds of diversity there,” McNair said.
He added the violence is painful for the community given the restaurant’s historical significance.
“We’ll get back into the flow. [Buffalo Wild Wings] will be fine,” McNair said. “It’s just an unfortunate situation that happened.”
