Rocky Mount Police arrested 17 people, served 27 warrants, and issued 39 tickets for various crimes last weekend in “Operation Hammer Time.”
The Rocky Mount Police Department says during the one-day “Operation Hammer Time” event, officers executed multiple raids on suspected drug locations, conducted a DUI checkpoint to check for drunk drivers, and made connections with local residents in several neighborhoods.
The DUI checkpoint was conducted with help from the NC Forensic Test for Alcohol Branch, who provided a Mobile Breath Alcohol Testing Unit that allows defendants to be tested and processed on location.
The totals for the one-day operation are:

30.9 grams cocaine
4 Dosage units of Ecstasy

Intratec 9mm with extended clip with 34 rounds
