GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The Greenville Police Department made an arrest in a series of residential and vehicle break-ins.
53-year-old Tyrone Maurice Batts is accused of several breaking and enterings and larcenies in the Lynndale neighborhood.
In one case, police say Batts also stole a firearm.
The homes and vehicles broken into were on Chesapeake Lane, Wickham Drive, Asbury Road, Lamont Road, and Dupont Circle.
Police say Batts is homeless.
He’s charged with 4 counts of Breaking and Entering, 4 counts of Larceny after Breaking and Entering, one county of Larceny of a Firearm, one count of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and one count of Damage to Property.
Batts was booked in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $150,000 bond.
GPD says additional charges may be forthcoming.
