Hope Middle School completes first perfect season

GREENVILLE (WNCT) – Hope Middle School recently completed a 13-0 season, the first perfect season in school history.

The Mustangs outscored their opponents this year 108-24. Jack Rhode led the way on the mound with a .83 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 42 innings pitched. Ethan Russell was the team’s leading hitter at .371.

The team hit .282 for the year and committed just nine errors for the season.
