Hormonal birth control linked to depression

DENMARK (WNCT) – Hormonal birth control could make you more susceptible to depression.

That’s according to a study conducted at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. Researchers found that the use of hormonal birth control was linked to both a diagnosis of depression and the use of anti-depressants.

Researchers also noted there was a difference in risk rates between women who used oral and non-oral forms of hormonal contraceptives.
