J.H. Rose seniors hold concert to benefit Children’s Miracle Network

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Two J.H. Rose seniors combined their passions into one for their senior project.

Maddie Brown loves music and Roman Galaska wanted to give back to the organization that gave his family so much.

The pair will host a benefit concert Friday night at Middle Grounds Coffee Shop.

All the proceeds will go to the Children’s Miracle Network.

The second part of their project is research. Brown is using her time to find the effects music has on cancer patients.

“Apparently, the brain receptors that feel pain are the same ones that music hits as well so sometimes music will help alleviate the pain that cancer patients will feel,” said Brown.

The concert is from 7 to 8 p.m. and all are welcome to attend.

Every senior at J.H. Rose has to complete a senior project, and this year’s theme is centered around giving back to the community
