JH Rose students take part in business luncheon

Some students at JH Rose High School in Greenville got to get out and mingle with members of the community Thursday as part of the Taking Steps Beyond Rose program.

About 90 students took 3 different seminars: professional dress, proper introduction, and table etiquette.

Now, they’re putting the skills they learned into action at a business luncheon at Rock-Springs Center.

Some of the people here interacting with the students have careers that a lot of the kids are interested in.

Through this program, the students earn points to be able to go on college visits.

Tracey Moore is a TSBR advisor, she said, “This program gives them a reason, let me earn some points let me try this and that then they start catching a vision of what they wanna do and they just explode.”

The students earned a visit to ECU.
