Power restored to hundreds of Kinston residents after a possible lighting strike damages a power line.

Kinston Public Services says it happened just before 6 o’clock on Wednesday morning.

The utility company says crews had to cut power to line in order to make the necessary repairs to pole. The line cut has temporarily cut power to 350 customers.

The outage is impacted customers living near the operation center just south of Highway 258.

Kinston Public Services says power was restored just after 7a.m.
