ORLANDO (WNCT) – Is Jeff Lebo on the hot seat at East Carolina? Possibly.
The ECU Basketball coach led the Pirates to a 12-19 regular season, as the Pirates gear up for the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
To be fair, Lebo has been dealt a tough hand in 2016. Sharpshooter from 2015, Terry Whisnant decided not to return even before the season started.
Marshall Guilmette, another of the starters from last year, called it a career during the off-season due to medical concerns.
Promising freshman forward, Deng Riak injured his shoulder in December. He was ruled out for the season.
In the meantime, ECU did pick up nice wins against Memphis on the road (first in program history) and home win against Temple (first in program history).
Even still, is 12 wins (including just four in conference play) too low for Director of Athletics, Jeff Compher?
Our Brian Bailey talked with Lebo before the AAC Tournament got underway about his future in Greenville.
