KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – While athletes are usually the ones signing letters of intent, students all around the world had the chance to show off their future school on Tuesday.
Students at Lenoir County Early College High school had their own National College Signing Day.
Each graduating senior had a mentor, teacher or family member read their biography. Then, each student signed their letter of intent. Students and their parents say today was one to remember.
“Finally getting the attention and getting the word out here hopefully encouraging more students to come here and get this experience. It was very exciting,” said Javon Brown, graduating senior.
“I just thank the Lord for my daughter. That’s my baby. That’s the last one,” said Lynne Hinton, Brown’s father.
