In Greenville, a local boy scout is earning his eagle award by giving back to the community.

A new outdoor exercise area is now open to the public at Elmhurst Elementary School. Eagle Scout Ryan Mehta received a $25,000 Perkins Grant to create the area. Exercise stations include stretching, pull-up bars, agility platforms and much more. Members of the school and the community can visit at any time.

An official ribbon cutting will be held tonight at 7 p.m. to celebrate Mehta’s efforts.
