2 arrested after stealing 21 firearms during residential break-in, deputies say

VANCEBORO, N.C. (WNCT) - Two men were arrested Monday after deputies said they stole 21 firearms during a residential break-in in Vanceboro.

Blake R. Hill, 19, of New Bern, and Anthony G. Hallahan, 22, of Oriental, were charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony conspiracy and felony larceny of 21 firearms.

The Craven County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence located off Weyerhaeuser Road in Vanceboro in reference to a residential breaking and entering reported on Monday.

Investigators responded to the scene and were able to identify the suspects and the vehicle used in the break-in.

Two hours after the report being filed, investigators located Hill and Hallahan and a vehicle parked behind a residence located on Old Vanceboro Road.

Investigators said they recovered 17 of the firearms stolen and a television.
