240 bags of heroin seized in Rocky Mount drug bust, 3 arrested

TARBORO, N.C. (WNCT) - Three men have been arrested after deputies said they found 240 bags of heroin in the Cokey Road area of Rocky Mount.

Cameron S. Morrison, 30, of Rocky Mount, was charged with conspiring to sell and deliver heroin.

Walter L. Shearin, 26, of Rocky Mount, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin and maintaining a vehicle to keep and sell heroin.

Robert M. Anderson, 46, of Rocky Mount, was charged with trafficking in heroin and maintaining a vehicle to keep and sell heroin.

The Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office said the arrests were made after investigators followed up on complaints made by citizens in reference to drug activity in the Cokey Road area of Rocky Mount.

Deputies responded to the area and said they located the suspects involved in the drug activity.

Deputies said they found 240 bags of heroin.

Morrison was given a $100,000 bond.

Shearin was given a $125,000 bond.

Anderson was given a $25, 000 bond.
