MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WNCT) - Carteret County Emergency Operations has opened a donation distribution center at the Cypress Bay shopping center next to Belk in Morehead City.
The center is providing items such as canned goods, house cleaning products, baby products, hygiene products and more.
Salvation Army Maj. Virginia Allderson said it is "very important for this area because a lot people were affected by the flooding and the water.”
Community members have come to the center to help out.
Residents can also call the center at 252-222-5841 for any donation questions or requests.
